The Revit MEP Project Fundamentals course is designed for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, piping and fire protection engineers, designers and drafters who want to take advantage of Revit MEP`s interactive, dynamic design functionality. Revit MEP includes MEP engineering tools to help design a comprehensive Revit-based Building Information Model. In this initial training class, the user will learn the foundations of MEP-object based design, as well as how to apply the correct workflow to most efficiently work across the project team. Fundamentals of linking and managing the architectural model and best practices for starting an MEP model for the use of collaboration throughout the project design is vital for a smooth design process. An overview of how effectively work internally and externally, as well as to designate and maintain the graphical representation of the model for Construction Documents will be reviewed. Finally, the user will learn how to leverage the space and zone tools to help perform energy analysis and develop LEED/sustainable design projects. This course is a pre-requisite to the Revit MEP HVAC/Electrical/Piping courses offered by Advanced Solutions.
