The AutodeskÂ® RevitÂ® software is a powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) program that works the way Architects and Engineers think. The software streamlines the design process with a central 3D model. Changes made in one view update across all views and on the printable sheets. This course is designed to give you an overview of the Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure, and MEP) functionality especially as it pertains to Project Managers. You begin by learning about the concept of BIM and the basics of the user. You then proceed using basic modifying tools and how to troubleshoot and view the projects. There is a section on working in multi-discipline project and in a collaborative environment using worksets. This course includes detailed information and practices to help you understand the concepts discussed.
Communicate the purpose of Building Information Management (BIM) and how it is applied in the Autodesk Revit software
Navigate the Autodesk Revit workspace and interface
Use basic modeling tools for creating and modeling in Revit
Troubleshoot elements in projects with model warning reviews and interference reports
Work with sheets for plotting
Export files to CAD Formats and DXF (the AutodeskÂ® Design Review software)
Navigate various viewing tools including creating sections
Work with schedules for model information and the importing/exporting of schedules
Link and import CAD files and Autodesk Revit models into projects
Use Worksets in a collaborative environment
Create details for documentation using detail components and imported vector data
