AutoCAD MEP 2016: This course is designed for electrical engineers and designers who want to take advantage of AutoCAD MEP`s interactive, dynamic design functionality. Focusing on electrical design tools, users will learn how to place equipment, distribution systems, create connecting wiring, conduit and cable tray, and then annotate the drawings. Learning how wire sizing tools work will also be reviewed, as well as working with circuit manager and working with electrical settings. Common to all disciplines, the user will also learn how to use tools that generate sections and schedules. Users taking this course must complete the AutoCAD MEP Project Fundamentals course or demonstrate relevant experience prior to taking this course.

Change the basic settings of an Electrical System
Configure electrical options
Create a cable tray and cable tray fittings
Create an electrical panel
Add conduit fittings
Calculate the total load of all devices, and size wire accordingly
Create 2D Section Views and Live Sections
Introduction to ACAD MEP workflow
Add annotations, tags, and labels
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical terminology.
